UN commission: Israel continues acts of genocide in Gaza even after the ceasefire
Israeli forces have killed more than 1,400 Palestinians in Gaza since the ceasefire was established in October 2025. According to the findings of the UN Commission of Inquiry, "clear demographic and ethnic considerations" lie behind the killing and injuring of Palestinians.

UN Commission: Israel continues acts of genocide in Gaza even after ceasefire
An independent international commission of inquiry established by the UN Human Rights Council published a report on October 26 regarding Israel's actions in Gaza. It stated that Israel continues to commit acts of genocide in Gaza even after the October 2025 ceasefire agreement. The document, presented to the UN General Assembly, came on the eve of the first parliamentary elections in Israel since the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack. Israel itself strongly rejects the report.
The commission investigated killings and injuries committed by Israeli and Palestinian security forces since October 2023. The document noted that during the ceasefire period, Israeli forces continued to use heavy and unguided bombs, drones, and snipers in densely populated areas. Between October 10, 2025, and September 30, 2026, Israeli attacks killed 1,431 people in Gaza, including at least 300 children.
The Israeli-controlled part of Gaza expanded from the 53 percent specified in the agreement to at least 60 percent. The "Yellow Line," declared as temporary, has effectively become a new border. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated in May 2026 that he had ordered the capture of 70 percent of Gaza.
