Ukrainian drones carry out longest-range strike on Russia

The city of Novy Urengoy, located 2,800 kilometers from Ukraine, was attacked.

Ukrainian drones have carried out the longest-range strike on Russia.

Governor Dmitry Artyukhov announced that Ukrainian drones attacked Russia's Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug for the first time.

In Novy Urengoy, falling drone debris caused a fire at an industrial facility.

There are no casualties or injuries.

According to Artyom Zhoga, the presidential envoy to the Urals, a Ukrainian drone attempted to strike a facility in the Yamal fuel and energy complex.

Novy Urengoy is located approximately 2,800 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. This means it is the longest-range strike carried out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Russia.

The "Agentstvo" publication writes that Ukrainian drones have reached the region, which accounts for 80 percent of Russia's gas production, for the first time.
