Uitkoff spoke with Putin during negotiations with Ukraine – NYT

The American publication The New York Times shared an interesting inside story on Friday regarding events in American politics. On that very day, Trump and Putin reached a diesel agreement during a phone conversation. Witkoff Spoke with Putin During Negotiations with Ukraine – NYT

While Trump was agreeing with Putin on diesel, representatives of the US, Ukraine, and Europe were holding a meeting. As the Ukrainians presented their proposal and the Europeans presented theirs, Witkoff, authorized to speak on behalf of all of America, said, "Hold on, gentlemen, I'll be right back," left the room, and it became known where he went: he joined the conversation between Trump and Putin as a third person to hear what Putin was saying!

The discussion of an issue affecting the lives of all humanity took place neither in an official agency nor in a local government building, but at a private golf club in Miami. Hard to believe, but this is what the diplomacy of the US, the most powerful nation in the world, looks like right now.

According to The New York Times, a newspaper that loves to share insider reports from "intelligence sources," a meeting involving representatives of the US, Ukraine, and Europe took place on Friday at the golf club in Miami belonging to Mr. Witkoff. On behalf of the US, naturally, Trump's friend Witkoff and his Jewish son-in-law Kushner participated. Representing Europe were the national security advisors to the leaders of Germany, France, and Britain, as well as senior officials from the European Union and NATO.

During the meeting, the Ukrainians presented their proposals for ending the war, and the Europeans also shared the plan they had prepared. At that point, Mr. Witkoff apologized to the guests and left the room. Do not rush to say that the conversation lasted 6 hours, Witkoff is turning 70, and it is obvious where he went; it is not about the break you are thinking of. The head of the negotiators joined Trump's conversation with Russian President Putin as a third person to hear what he had to say.

From the NYT report, one might think Trump was also at the golf club, but that was not actually the case. Witkoff was connected online from Miami to a call between Trump at the White House and Putin at the Kremlin. Amazing, isn't it? A third person from a Miami golf club was added via conference call to a conversation conducted from two of the world's most powerful offices. Just like classmates adding each other to a call decades ago when mobile communications were just developing.

Putin and Trump spoke during a soccer match. America agreed to buy diesel from Russia "to spite Zelensky." Having heard all of this, Witkoff returned to the room and said, "Gentlemen, here is the deal: sanctions against Russia have been lifted, and we are now buying diesel fuel from them." Just imagine the state the Ukrainian delegation was in upon hearing this.
