The incident occurred on August 6 at kilometer 180 of the M-5 "Ural" federal highway, near the village of Blokhino in the Lyambirsky District. A MAZ truck collided with a Spark passenger car with Uzbek license plates.
Uzbek citizens A.A.P., born in 1996, and B.Sh.A., born in 1997, died as a result of the accident. Three more Mordovian citizens—A.R.P., born in 2002, B.M.A., born in 1989, and A.M.P., born in 2006—were hospitalized with various injuries at the Central Clinical Hospital of Mordovia.
The Consulate General has established cooperation with the relevant authorities and is closely monitoring the situation.
The Migration Agency is taking steps to repatriate the bodies of the deceased after conducting a forensic examination and completing all necessary procedures.
The injured were provided with all necessary medical care. After completing their treatment, they were discharged from the hospital.
