Two people died in a traffic accident in Pakhtachi

On October 9, 2026, at around 13:00, a road traffic accident occurred on the 14th kilometer of the 4K-560 highway passing through the "Mirkan" neighborhood area of the Pakhtachi district, Samarqand region.

According to reports, the driver of a Cobalt turned the steering wheel to the left to avoid hitting a cyclist who suddenly appeared from the right side of the road. As a result, the driver lost control and collided with an electric scooter traveling in the opposite direction.

As a result of the incident, one of the passengers on the scooter died at the scene. Doctors were also unable to save the life of another passenger who was taken to the hospital.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident, and preliminary investigative actions are ongoing.
