Two pleasure boats collided on the Syr Darya River in the Turakurgan district of the Namangan region. According to the Emergency Situations Department, two people were killed.

On the evening of August 23, two pleasure boats collided on the Syr Darya River in the Turakurgan district of the Namangan region, killing two people.

Videos from the scene have surfaced on social media. One video shows a boat moored near a bridge with another vessel approaching. At that moment, a third boat emerges from under the bridge, causing a collision. Other videos show people in life jackets in the water being rescued.

According to the Emergency Situations Ministry, one person died at the scene of the accident, and the other died in the hospital. The number of people on board the colliding boats has not been specified.
