Turkish low-cost carrier Pegasus to launch flights to three cities in Uzbekistan

The Turkish budget carrier Pegasus Airlines plans to establish regular passenger flights between Istanbul and three cities in Uzbekistan — Bukhara, Andijan, and Termez.

The company announced the opening of three new destinations.

Information about the new routes has also been published on the airline's website, where ticket sales from Istanbul to Bukhara, Andijan, and Termez have started from $99 (from €89.99 including taxes). Final prices will vary depending on the destination, flight date, and seat availability.

Flights are expected to be operated via Sabiha Gökçen Airport in Istanbul, one of Pegasus Airlines' main transit hubs.

The launch of the new routes will allow passengers in Uzbekistan's regions to use transit flights via Pegasus to European cities, including London, Manchester, Paris, and Prague, without having to go to Tashkent.

At the same time, the features of the low-cost carrier's fare policy should also be taken into account. The cheapest international Light fare does not include free checked baggage or standard carry-on luggage. A passenger can only bring one small bag free of charge, weighing up to 3 kg and measuring no more than 40×30×15 cm, which must fit under the seat.

Additional baggage is charged separately.

Pegasus's entry into the Uzbekistan market has also been confirmed by documents from the aviation authority.

According to the official register of the Civil Aviation Agency, on October 6, 2026, the Turkish airline received operating permit No. 58-K to carry out passenger transportation.

The issue of Pegasus Airlines entering the Uzbekistan market has been under discussion for several years.

In May 2019, representatives of the State Committee for Tourism Development reported that negotiations were underway with the Turkish low-cost carrier and Greece's Orange2Fly to start flights to Uzbekistan.

In January 2021, Pegasus again expressed interest in opening routes to Uzbekistan, in particular to develop pilgrimage tourism. At that time, representatives of the company discussed the capabilities of Sabiha Gökçen Airport with a delegation from Uzbekistan.

Pegasus Airlines is one of Turkey's largest budget carriers. The company operates domestic and international flights, including to countries in Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
