Trump TV launched amidst rising tension between the US President and the media
The White House has announced the launch of Trump TV, which will broadcast around the clock on YouTube. This coincided with a period when US President Donald Trump entered into a conflict with the American media.
The White House announced the start of the 24-hour Trump TV broadcast on its official page on the social network X.
“Trump TV is currently on the air. It operates 24/7 and is updated in real-time. The best moments of past years, announcements, and the latest news from the administration — all in one place. Until now, not all important events were shown on television, but now they will be,” the published message reads.
The Trump TV broadcast can be watched on the White House's YouTube channel.
On September 18, the US President banned correspondents from CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from entering the White House. Trump accused these publications of spreading fake news.
The following day, journalists from these publications reported that they were not allowed into the White House. Following this, Trump posted a picture online depicting trash bags with the logos of CNN, MSNBC, and Politico on them.
Later, it became known that representatives of the three media outlets banned from entering the White House filed a lawsuit against the president.
On September 22, a number of leading American media outlets declared a boycott of the US President's administration. Television channels stopped providing pool coverage of events involving the head of the White House.
