Tourism startups will receive subsidies of up to 1 billion soums

The best startups aimed at creating new tourism services will receive state support

It was determined that startups in the tourism sector will be provided with subsidies in the amount of up to 1 billion soums. This procedure was approved by the Government Resolution No. 443 dated August 18.

As a rule, subsidies are allocated by the Tourism Committee through the State Service Centers or the Unified Interactive State Services Portal.

50 percent of the costs associated with the creation and implementation of a startup, but not more than 1 billion soums, will be covered. This amount will be allocated annually to up to 10 tourism startups recognized as the best.

Projects for obtaining subsidies are evaluated by a special commission. The composition of the commission is formed by the chairman of the Tourism Committee.

After receiving the applicant's application, the commission sends him a notification of an interview within 5 working days.

After the interview, the commission examines the applicant's compliance with the established requirements within 10 working days. In this process, special attention is paid to the significance of the startup for the tourism industry.

In particular, the project is aimed at developing a specific tourist service, the relevance of the needs and demand of tourists for this service is assessed.

It is also taken into account that the startup offers a new service that did not previously exist or significantly improves an existing solution.

After the decision to reimburse the costs, the Tourism Committee transfers the funds to the applicant's accounts in the serving commercial banks. The funds are allocated within 7 working days from the date of the decision.
