Uzbekistan's tourism potential is presented at an exhibition in Malaysia
From September 4 to 6, 2026, Kuala Lumpur is hosting one of Malaysia's largest tourism exhibitions, MATTA Fair, featuring the national stand of Uzbekistan, organized by the Tourism Committee and the State Unitary Enterprise "National PR Center" with the assistance of the diplomatic mission of our country.
This large-scale event brings together 4,556 stands and is expected to attract about 100,000 visitors. At the Uzbek stand, Uzbekistan Airways, the tourism department of the Kashkadarya region, as well as leading tour operators, including Tour Link, Central Asia Voyage, Ons Travels, Orient MICE, and East Asia Point, are presenting their capabilities.
The main focus of the presentation is pilgrimage tourism, including the "Umrah Plus" program, which combines visits to holy sites with cultural and gastronomic routes. Within the framework of the exhibition, domestic specialists are holding B2B meetings with foreign partners to increase the flow of tourists and introduce new products to the international market. In addition to presenting the historical, cultural, and natural potential of the Kashkadarya region, a tasting of Uzbek plov aroused particular interest among guests, clearly demonstrating national gastronomic traditions. Participation in the MATTA Fair is aimed at strengthening Uzbekistan's image as an attractive tourist destination and expanding ties with Southeast Asian countries.
