According to Uzhydromet, in the past month of September, the air temperature in Uzbekistan was 1.2−2.5 degrees above normal, being recorded as one of the warmest and driest periods in the history of meteorological observations. No rain fell in most of the country, while strong winds and dust storms were observed in some regions.

The past month of September, in terms of its temperature regime, was typical for the beginning of the autumn season in Uzbekistan, remaining sufficiently warm and without sharp temperature fluctuations, it is reported.

In most of the republic's territory, the air temperature remained mostly comfortable at around +29…+34 degrees, rising on the hottest days in some places to +35…+37 degrees, and in the southern and desert regions to +38 degrees. This was below the maximum temperature records for September, which stand at +38…+40 degrees across most of the republic, and +41…+42 degrees in the north, south, and desert regions.

During the last week of September, a steady decline in the temperature background was observed. Daytime air temperatures mostly did not exceed +24…+27 degrees, and in the extreme south, +28…+30 degrees.

In most of the republic, the average monthly air temperature was 1.2–2.5 degrees above normal, while in the north and the Fergana Valley, it was recorded around the norm in some places.

Forecasters noted that the past month joined the ranks of the warmest Septembers in the entire history of meteorological observations in Uzbekistan.

The past September was characterized by extremely dry conditions. In most of the territory of Uzbekistan (except for the northern and eastern regions), no rain was observed at all, or short-term rain fell in 1–3 instances.

In the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Fergana Valley, the amount of rainfall in most areas was 1.5–3 times, and in some places 4–6 times, more than the monthly norm.

In the north, south, and desert regions, and rarely in the central regions of the republic, wind speeds were recorded to increase up to 13–18 m/s in some places on certain days. On September 2–3 in Ustyurt and on September 20 in the high-mountainous areas of the Tashkent region, wind gusts reached 20–21 m/s.

In some places, the strengthening of the wind was accompanied by dust storms. Frequent dusty haze was also recorded. On September 24, mudflow and flood events were recorded in the Chust district of the Namangan region.
