During his visit to Andijan, the President spoke about his conversation with a woman who had worked in Russia for many years, but has now returned to Uzbekistan, stating that she is earning a better income here and has enrolled one of her children in university.

During his visit to Andijan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, while commenting on the situation in the region and the issues awaiting solutions, said that he has been sleeping very little in recent days.
The head of state noted that the weather in Andijan is good, but his thoughts are troubling him because there are many issues in the region that need to be resolved.
The president also highlighted the words of one of the elders he spoke with yesterday, who said, "In a restless world, there is a peaceful country – Uzbekistan."
"He is a person far from politics, but he spoke from the bottom of his heart. I was very pleased," the president said.
During the meeting in Andijan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev also recalled a conversation he had yesterday with a woman:
"A simple woman said with tears in her eyes: 'Mr. President, I have been working in Russia for many years. I have two children, and as a mother, I am raising them myself.'
There was light in her eyes. The first thing she told me was, 'My income here is much higher,'" the head of state said.
The president mentioned that another aspect pleased him, noting that one of the woman's two children entered the Andijan State Medical Institute this year.
"I asked her: 'Five years ago, would you have believed that your child would get into university?' The whole hall answered, 'That would have never happened.'
