They won't pat you on the head
The President of Kyrgyzstan urged citizens to report corruption and promised tough measures against liars

No pat on the head
President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov has appealed to MPs and citizens to report corruption in public services. He promised support and protection to those who provide substantiated evidence. Those guilty of corruption, according to him, will be punished severely.
The head of state also warned politicians, journalists, bloggers, and experts about the responsibility for every word. He recalled that the country has already experienced the consequences of political confrontations and instability. In his view, the discussion of sensitive topics must not turn into a tool for dividing society.
"Those who spread lies and confuse peaceful people will not get a pat on the head. Tough measures will be taken against them," Japarov stated.
He emphasized that issues affecting people's feelings must not be deliberately exacerbated for the sake of political points. Every word spoken publicly carries responsibility before society.
