The winners of the second season of Open Budget have been announced in Uzbekistan.

The second season of the Initiative Budget program on the Open Budget platform in Uzbekistan concluded, revealing the winners for 2026. Following the voting, 2,195 projects were recognized as winners and will receive 3.15 trillion soums in state budget funding.

Citizens of Uzbekistan actively participated in the process, casting a total of 10.124 million votes for the proposed initiatives. The winners included 2,059 projects from the main competition and 136 partner projects.

A significant portion of the winning initiatives are aimed at addressing pressing issues facing the population, such as repairing and paving internal roads, improving landscaping, and developing social infrastructure.

For example, in the Chirakchi district of the Kashkadarya region, several projects related to internal road repairs received over 20,000 votes each and will receive approximately 1.65 billion soums in funding.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance previously warned citizens about scams on social media offering cash rewards for voting on Open Budget. The ministry urged citizens to exercise vigilance, avoid sharing personal information with strangers, and ignore such offers.
