Neighborhoods struggling with electricity benefited the most from the partnership mechanism in the "Initiative Budget"
This season, more than 100 projects, 50 percent of the cost of which was raised by the initiators themselves, won ahead of schedule using the partnership mechanism. Of these, 48 are related to problems with electricity supply, and 30 are related to street lighting. Voting for the remaining projects will begin tonight.

Neighborhoods that faced problems with electricity supply were the most effective users of the cooperation mechanism of the "Initiative Budget".
The number of projects recognized as winners on the basis of cooperation within the framework of the "Initiative Budget" reached 114. Since 50 percent of the funds required for the implementation of these projects were collected by the initiators, they were automatically declared winners. Now the remaining 50 percent of the funds will be allocated from the local budget.
Citizens are required to transfer funds to transit accounts for cooperation projects by 5:00 p.m. on August 21.
To date, 33 projects have won in the Kashkadarya region, 23 in the Samarkand region, 15 in the Khorezm region, 14 in the Navoi region, 9 in the Syrdarya region, and 7 each in the Bukhara and Surkhandarya regions.
No projects from Tashkent city, Andijan, Fergana, Jizzakh regions, or the Republic of Karakalpakstan won the competition.
Voting for projects will begin tonight, August 22. Voting will end on August 31, and the winners will be announced on September 1, the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence.
