The White House reported the detention of a citizen of Uzbekistan, calling him "one of the dangerous criminals in the US"

In the US, Uzbek citizen Sardor Tirkashev, who was previously convicted of aggravated assault and robbery, was detained. The White House included him in the list of detained migrants whom the American authorities consider dangerous to society.

According to US authorities, officers from the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained Tirkashev on October 7, 2026, in the city of Chillicothe, Ohio. His name appeared among other detained migrants whom the US administration describes as posing an increased danger to society. Previously, these detainees were convicted or held accountable for various offenses. The list mentioned sexual offenses, strangulation, driving under the influence, and cocaine trafficking.

It is stated that Tirkashev was previously convicted on two counts of aggravated assault, as well as for robbery.

The US administration stated that the detentions are being conducted as part of a policy to identify and deport migrants who have violated immigration laws and have a criminal history.

The White House administration stated that it is taking measures to strengthen border control and detain migrants whom it considers dangerous to society.
