The Tourism Committee and the Parachute Federation discussed cooperation

The Tourism Committee and the Parachute Federation of Uzbekistan discussed the development of extreme tourism, new tourism products, and the holding of international competitions.

Abdulaziz Akkulov, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, met with Alexey Borshuk, Head of the Parachute Federation of Uzbekistan. During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for developing extreme and adventure tourism, as well as developing new tourism offerings, according to the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan.

The discussion participants explored how to best utilize the country's potential for developing this type of tourism. It was noted that parachute jumps are currently organized at the Syrdarya Markaziy site in the Syrdarya district.

Both parties agree that the favorable climate, long flight season, and existing infrastructure create the conditions for transforming Uzbekistan into a promising destination for extreme tourism. Particular attention was paid to promoting parachute tourism among foreign and local tourists, as well as increasing the attractiveness of the regions by hosting international parachute competitions and festivals.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached that the Parachute Sports Federation will develop proposals to improve the regulatory framework and implement initiatives aimed at further developing extreme tourism in Uzbekistan.
