The Supreme Judicial Council has denied rumors of the forced appointment of the deceased judge.
Information circulated on social media that Aziza Mirzayeva was allegedly forcibly appointed as chairperson of the Tamdy District Court, and that her death in a traffic accident was related to this appointment. The Council dismissed these allegations as unfounded.

The Supreme Judicial Council has refuted rumors circulating on social media regarding the circumstances of Judge Aziza Mirzayeva's death. These reports suggested that her death could have been caused by her assignment to another region, which, according to the reports, was not voluntary but forced, and compared it to "exile."
The Council categorically stated that such allegations lack any evidence or legal basis. It emphasized that Aziza Mirzayeva submitted a written application and consented to participate in the competition for the position of Chairperson of the Tamdy District Court. Following this competition, by the Council's decision of December 18, 2024, she was appointed to an initial five-year term.
It is also noted that at the time of her appointment, there were no vacant judicial positions in the Samarkand Regional Court, where she previously lived and worked. Therefore, the interpretation of a legal appointment as "forced" is inaccurate.
The Council specifically highlighted the lack of a causal link between the judge's appointment and the road accident. A legal assessment of the causes of the accident will be made only after the completion of the investigation conducted by the authorized bodies. Attempts to link the judge's death to her appointment and to create a perception of the Supreme Judicial Council's moral responsibility were deemed completely unfounded.
The accident in which Aziza Mirzayeva died occurred on August 15 on the Zarafshan-Tamdy highway. The Cobalt she was driving left the roadway and overturned. The judge died at the scene from her injuries.
