The state will cover the advanced training expenses of 130 thousand medical workers

In Uzbekistan, medical workers operating in the primary healthcare sector and districts will have the opportunity to independently choose their advanced training institution.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced the introduction of a new system in the advanced training process for medical workers.

According to it, medical workers will independently determine where to upgrade their qualifications. Private educational institutions will also be actively involved in this process.

In particular, the costs of advanced training for doctors and nurses working in the primary healthcare system and in districts will be fully covered by the state.

According to estimates, thanks to this change, a total of 100 billion soums annually will be saved by 130 thousand medical workers operating in districts.

The President stressed that due to the introduction of new technologies, modern diagnostic and treatment methods into medicine, representatives of the sector must constantly work on themselves.

"Medical workers must always work on themselves and not fall behind innovations!" said the head of state.
