The Prosecutor General's Office has filed a lawsuit in court regarding the khokim's decision concerning a historical building on Babur Street

The Prosecutor General's Office has filed a lawsuit demanding that the khokim's decision affecting a cultural heritage site located at 7 Babur Street in Tashkent be declared illegal. This was reported by the Cultural Heritage Agency.

Previously, the Agency had sent a request to the Prosecutor General's Office to provide a legal assessment of decisions from past years that could jeopardize the preservation of the historical building.

The Agency reported that the Prosecutor General's Office supported its position. The supervisory authority appealed to the court to eliminate the identified violations of the legislation.

The case is currently under judicial review.
