The procedure for paying off student contracts has been announced.

In Uzbekistan, each year, local khokimiyats pay for the education of 150 female students from each region. The privilege is granted to girls from low-income families, orphans or students deprived of parental care, and certain other categories of women.

The procedure for covering contract fees for female students has been announced.

In accordance with the Presidential Decree "On measures to further improve the system of supporting women and ensuring their active participation in public life", it is determined that local khokimiyats will cover the contract fees of female students.

According to this procedure, a total of 150 female students from each region will be covered for contract fees each year.

Of these 150 students, 40 must be first-year students, and the remaining 100 must be second-year students and higher.

This benefit is available to girls from low-income families included in the "Unified Register of Social Protection".

In addition, female students who are orphans or have lost parental care, as well as daughters of women who are raising minor children alone or have lost their breadwinners, can also apply for compensation for contract fees.

However, this opportunity does not apply to those studying in a second specialty.

Also, contract fees of female students studying in foreign or private higher education institutions operating in Uzbekistan are not covered under this procedure.
