The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Han Duck-soo at his designated residence in Seoul.

At the meeting, issues of further strengthening special strategic partnership relations in the fields of trade and economy, investments, technologies, and transport and logistics were reviewed.

Priority attention was paid to deepening innovative and technological cooperation.

Prospects for partnership in the fields of trade, finance and investment, digital economy and cybersecurity, processing of critical minerals using Korea's advanced technologies and Uzbekistan's raw material base, as well as in the areas of transport and railway infrastructure and interregional relations were discussed.

The President of Uzbekistan will pay a state visit to the Republic of Korea on September 13–16. He will hold talks with the country's leadership, as well as representatives of Korean companies and financial institutions. The first "Central Asia – Republic of Korea" summit will also take place in Seoul.
