As part of his state visit to the Republic of Korea, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with compatriots working and studying in this country.
According to the President's press service, during the warm conversation held in an informal atmosphere, issues related to the implementation of reforms in New Uzbekistan and the contribution of our compatriots to their active implementation were discussed.
The meeting participants put forward a number of progressive proposals aimed at expanding relations between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea in the fields of economy, science, and education.
Particular attention was paid to the integration of artificial intelligence and Korean digital technologies into key sectors of the national economy and public administration, the promotion of innovative solutions in the fields of medicine, transport, customs, and tourism, the rapid development of national payment systems and money transfer platforms, as well as the training of specialists in the field of information technology.
Specific proposals were also made to deepen cultural and humanitarian ties. In particular, special attention was paid to expanding the network of Uzbek cultural centers in the Republic of Korea, developing Uzbek language learning programs, holding various cultural events in both countries, and translating works of Uzbek classical literature into the Korean language.
The leader of Uzbekistan expressed gratitude to our compatriots for their significant contribution to the socio-economic development of our country, emphasizing that each of their initiatives would be studied in detail, and the most important projects would receive comprehensive practical support.
Wishing the professors, entrepreneurs, activists, and students who participated in the meeting success in their studies and professional activities, the Uzbek leader particularly noted that our state is always open to dialogue with them and is ready to create all necessary conditions to realize the creative potential of our compatriots.
