The number of Uzbeks killed in Tatarstan has increased

The number of Uzbeks killed in a Ukrainian drone attack in the city of Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan, has reached 8, and several Uzbek citizens were injured and hospitalized. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan (MES) provided additional information about this.

It is noted that the victims worked as workers at a construction company. According to local authorities, during the night attack, one of the drones hit a dormitory where workers lived in an industrial zone in Nizhnekamsk. Two citizens of Tajikistan also lost their lives as a result of this attack.

The head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, sent a telegram of condolences to the presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on the night of August 10, as part of Russia's "reduction of military potential," units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces targeted the Taneko oil refinery (Nizhnekamsk, Republic of Tatarstan, RF) and "a fire broke out at the facility."

According to the Uzbek Ministry of Emergency Situations, a government commission headed by Deputy Prime Minister Ochilboy Ramatov was formed on the instructions of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This commission is tasked with receiving information about the condition of the affected citizens, providing them with necessary assistance, airlifting the deceased by special flight and delivering them to the appropriate locations, as well as providing comprehensive assistance to their family members.

A special working group has currently been sent to the Russian Federation, and all necessary measures are being taken.
