The number of school graduates who scored the highest points in the entrance exams to higher education institutions has increased 8 times.
The number of school graduates who scored the maximum points in the entrance exams to higher education institutions in Uzbekistan is increasing year by year.
According to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, the number of school graduates who scored the highest points in the tests has increased 8 times compared to the previous year. In 2026, 4,825 school graduates scored the highest score of 189. In 2025, this figure was 619, and in 2024 - 101.
Also, the number of graduates who scored less than 56.7 points has decreased by 5% (by 13 thousand) compared to the previous year.
According to the ministry, the number of graduates admitted to state higher education institutions has increased by 3.5 percent over the past 3 years.
The highest rates of admission to higher education institutions were observed in the following regions:
Navoi region - 52.5 percent;
Bukhara region - 37.9 percent;
Jizzakh region - 35.9 percent.
The quality indicators of school graduates in the entrance tests to higher education increased by 11 points. Navoi region is leading among the regions in terms of average scores (112.8 points).
In 2026, 454,833 graduates graduated from school (an increase of 16 thousand compared to the previous year), of which 333,463 (73 percent) participated in the tests. This year, 34,681 graduates have been recommended for state grants. This is 4,800 more than last year. In 2025, this figure was 29,881, and in 2024, it was 24,330.
