The number of marriages in Uzbekistan is decreasing

Number of marriages continues to decline in Uzbekistan

In January–June 2026, 92.3 thousand marriages were registered in Uzbekistan. The National Statistics Committee reported this.

While 270.3 thousand marriages were registered in the country in 1991, in 2025 this figure amounted to 267.1 thousand. Between 1991 and 2025, the highest figure was recorded in 2018 — 311.4 thousand.

Notably, over the past five years, the number of marriages has been consistently decreasing.
