President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that behind the achievements reached at the chess olympiad held in Samarkand stand the athletes' parents, first teachers, coaches, and the teams that supported them. The head of state particularly noted that world champion Rustam Kasimdzhanov has been regularly passing on his experience and knowledge to the new generation.

It was stated that the recognition of the Uzbekistan Chess Federation as the "Best Federation" by FIDE, and the election of Rustam Kasimdzhanov as FIDE Honorary Vice-President and Khulkar Tokhirjanova as Regional President for Central Asia, testify to the growing prestige of our country in world chess.

Based on the decision adopted in 2018, chess teaching in schools, coach training, and club development were established. Over the past ten years, 17 chess players from Uzbekistan have received the title of international grandmaster, five of whom are women.
The head of state defined the next goal: to turn New Uzbekistan not only into an Olympiad champion, but also into a world chess center. It was emphasized that for this, the country has experience, results, and champions who can serve as role models for the youth. The entry of thousands of children inspired by them into chess creates a solid foundation for identifying new talents.
To this end, the task was set to identify talented children early in every region, district, and neighborhood, pair them with strong teachers, and create conditions for their regular participation in international tournaments. A separate system will be established for the development of girls' chess and parachess.
Regional branches of the Tashkent International Chess Academy will be opened in Samarkand, Khorezm, and Fergana. The training of high-class coaches will be established at the academy. Half of the tuition costs in private clubs for chess players who have scored higher than 1,500 points in the FIDE rating will be covered by the state.
Also, international tournaments will be regularly held under the Uzbekistan Grand Chess national brand. The President proposed to build a modern chess palace in New Tashkent with a playing hall for 500 people, a dormitory, and sports grounds.
