**Head of the Presidential People's Reception: "The most frequent appeals are related to child benefits"**
Since the beginning of 2026, the population of Uzbekistan has appealed to the Presidential People's Reception a total of 557,254 times. This was announced by Farrukh Omonov, the head of the Presidential People's Reception, during a media tour in the Tashkent region on August 13.
According to the "Daryo" correspondent, the journalists first got acquainted with the activities of the newly built People's Reception building in the region. They examined the modern conditions created for the population and employees of state bodies. During the media tour, Farrukh Omonov answered many questions.
**Complaints regarding the assignment of child benefits are the leader**
During the conversation, the appeals were analyzed by sector. In the previous period of this year, the largest number of appeals to the reception were related to the law enforcement sector - 126,692. The largest number of them was related to the issue of alimony collection (36,806).
Next in line were appeals related to the areas of social protection and housing (113,897). Complaints regarding the assignment of benefits, material assistance and pensions amounted to 87,252.
"The largest number of appeals is on the issue of social protection. Of these, 48,778 appeals were received regarding the assignment of benefits to children under 18 years of age. This figure increased by 38 percent compared to last year," said the head of the reception office.
The third largest area of appeals was related to issues of gas, electricity, drinking water, heat supply and sewage (74,823).
**High share of appeals from the capital**
Since the beginning of the year, the reception office has received the largest number of appeals from Tashkent - 74,592. The next largest share of complaints came from residents of Kashkadarya (60,580), Surkhandarya (55,402), Tashkent (50,937) and Samarkand (50,476) regions. The fewest appeals were recorded in Syrdarya region - 20,432.
"The number of citizens coming to the People's Reception Center and applying is decreasing. That is, citizens are increasingly accepting the online format. According to analyzes, the share of those coming to the building does not even reach 10 percent of daily appeals. The remaining 90 percent of appeals are made online," said Farrukh Omonov.
**Complaints against officials have decreased**
According to Farrukh Omonov, in the past period of 2026, the People's Reception Center of the President received 29 thousand appeals related to the activities and actions of civil servants. This is a 36 percent decrease from last year.
"Discontent with the activities of government employees has decreased by 36 percent. However, the largest number of complaints is against mahalla chairmen, MIB, tax, health, preventive inspectors, internal affairs bodies, banking and education employees," said the head of the reception.
Farrukh Omonov also touched upon what measures were taken against senior employees based on confirmed complaints.
"Here, whether there is a violation of the law or not, whether the citizen's appeal is appropriate or inappropriate, is assessed. Because the fact that a citizen has applied does not mean that he is right in all matters. For example, a child asked for a child benefit. But the allowance was denied because he has property or income in his name. In that case, the citizen complains to the social security officer. If the employee answered correctly in the established manner, the citizen's appeal is rejected. But in some cases, state employees speak rudely to citizens or do not observe the culture of communication. When similar cases are detected, disciplinary liability is applied. Over the past seven months, more than three thousand disciplinary and general types of liability have been established. This includes both administrative liability and disciplinary liability. Or liability measures have been applied, up to and including demotion, dismissal from office. This is a continuous process. But the trend is moving in a positive direction. From the point of view of working with appeals, state agencies "The number of appeals regarding the actions of employees is decreasing from quarter to quarter," said the head of the reception office.
**Diagnostic center in the reception office**
A number of amenities have been created for residents in the newly built Public Reception Office building in the Tashkent region. A device created based on artificial intelligence at the entrance can answer questions of interest to citizens.
There is an opportunity to apply offline and online inside. It was said that public receptions will be held every week with the participation of the regional khokim and heads of other departments.
"We have established a Diagnostic Center for the first time in the People's Reception of the Tashkent region. When analyzing the appeals sent by our citizens in the first six months of this year, it was found that about 85 percent relate to 15 organizations. Then, responsible employees of those organizations were attracted to our new center. For example, social protection, cadastre, education, healthcare, etc. They study and analyze problems in their area. Then, work is organized to solve the problem, that is, to the essence," says Nasiba Kulbekova, deputy head of the reception.
Nasiba Kulbekova said that in January-June 2026, the number of appeals to the President's virtual reception in the Tashkent region decreased by more than 6 percent compared to the same period in 2025. This was explained by the fact that the problems were analyzed and resolved in a timely manner in the Diagnostic Center.
