Uzbekistan's Ministry of Health reported on the condition of hospitalized Kazakhstani citizens

The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan provided details on the condition of 20 citizens of Kazakhstan who were hospitalized in Tashkent with signs of acute diarrhea. According to the department, two patients have already been discharged, while the condition of the others is assessed as stable and satisfactory.

As the press service of the Ministry of Health clarified, the first symptoms in some of the children who arrived from Kazakhstan, and the persons accompanying them, appeared on November 1 after breakfast at one of the capital's hotels. The menu included eggs and sausages, which, according to preliminary data, turned out to be undercooked.

On the same day, 13 people developed vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and fever. They were taken to the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Epidemiology, Microbiology, Infectious and Parasitic Diseases, and after receiving first aid, they were transferred to City Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital No. 5.

On November 2–3, seven more people with similar symptoms were admitted to the hospital.

Based on the examination results, all 20 patients received a preliminary diagnosis of "acute diarrhea." They were prescribed treatment in accordance with established medical standards.

The Ministry of Health emphasized that there are no patients in the intensive care unit. All hospitalized individuals remain under medical supervision.

Meanwhile, the Committee for Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health took samples of the remaining consumed food items. Laboratory tests are ongoing. The final results of the investigation will be announced later.
