The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, took part in a meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers. The event took place in the "Avaza" tourist zone in Turkmenistan.

The attendees reviewed the preparations for the upcoming meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State, as well as topical issues on the international and regional agenda.

Bakhtiyor Saidov made a number of proposals to expand trade and economic ties, develop transport logistics, digital cooperation, and humanitarian exchanges. In addition, the parties discussed opportunities for joint response to modern security threats.

Today, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, also arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit. His plane landed at the airport of the city of Turkmenbashi, where the head of state was met by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and other officials.
