Most enterprises with foreign capital are concentrated in Tashkent
As of August 1, 2026, there were 20,973 enterprises and organizations with foreign capital operating in Uzbekistan. This was reported by the National Statistics Committee.
The largest number of enterprises with foreign capital is registered in Tashkent — 13,114. This is significantly more than in other regions of the country.
There are 2,901 such enterprises in the Tashkent region. This is followed by the Samarkand region with 754 enterprises, Fergana with 659, and Surkhandarya with 630.
There are 519 such enterprises operating in the Andijan region, and 449 in the Bukhara region. Syrdarya accounts for 341 enterprises, the Navoiy region for 335, and the Namangan region for 331.
In the Jizzakh region, 283 enterprises with foreign capital are registered, and in the Republic of Karakalpakstan — 258. There are 214 of them in the Khorezm region, and 185 in the Kashkadarya region.
Thus, Tashkent remains the region with the highest concentration of enterprises and organizations with foreign capital.
The Tashkent region ranks second in terms of their number, while in most other regions the figure does not exceed 800 enterprises.
