The legal status, main tasks, powers and procedure for organizing the activities of the Presidential Administration in Uzbekistan are determined by constitutional law. The Administration is directly subordinate to and accountable to the President.

The Constitutional Law “On the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan”, adopted by the Legislative Chamber on August 6, 2026 and approved by the Senate on August 7, came into force.
According to this law, the Presidential Administration is a state body that provides the powers of the head of state in an organizational, legal and analytical manner. It also assists the President in ensuring the coordinated activities and mutual cooperation of state authorities.
The Administration coordinates the activities of state bodies, organizations and enterprises with state participation within the framework of the implementation of the decrees, resolutions, orders and instructions of the President. It also has the authority to monitor and organize control over the implementation of these documents.
The Administration will have the status of a legal entity. Its activities are based on the principles of the supremacy of the Constitution and laws, the primacy of human rights and freedoms, impartiality, independence, openness and transparency.
The President forms the Administration. It is headed by the Head of the Administration, who is appointed and dismissed by the President. The Administration carries out its activities within the framework of the main directions determined by the President.
The Law also defines the main tasks of the Administration. In particular, it analyzes the socio-economic and socio-political development of the country, participates in ensuring the reforms implemented by the President and developing new important initiatives. It also promotes legality and law and order, observance of the rights and freedoms of citizens, and reform of the judicial system.
In addition, the Administration also performs the tasks of organizing open and direct dialogue with the population and business entities, ensuring the implementation of a unified state personnel policy, and organizing and monitoring the implementation of the President's documents and instructions.
