The head of the French Football Federation supported Infantino

The president of the French Football Federation, Philippe Diallo, has expressed his support for the head of the International Football Federation (FIFA), Gianni Infantino. This was reported by French journalist Romain Molina.

According to the source, Diallo does not intend to support UEFA's position on the issue of a boycott against FIFA. It is noted that French President Emmanuel Macron also approves of this point of view.

Earlier, FIFA announced plans to create a new structure called the Forward Enterprise (FFE). It was planned to combine the commercial activities of the federation and the organization of tournaments organized by FIFA. The organization intended to offer shares in the new structure to private investors.

This initiative caused strong discontent from UEFA and there were reports of a possible boycott of the 2030 World Cup. Later, FIFA issued a statement on behalf of Infantino, acknowledging the disagreements surrounding the project and announcing that the proposal would not be implemented.

Infantino has led FIFA since 2016. He has announced his intention to run for president again in 2027. Elections for the organization's presidency will be held in Morocco next spring.
