Veolia Energy Tashkent company commented on complaints from capital residents about an unpleasant chemical odor coming from hot water.
Appeals regarding this issue are being received from Mirzo Ulugbek, Mirobod, Yakkasaroy, Shaykhontohur, Chilanzar, and Yunusabad districts. Last week, residents also complained about turbid water and low pressure.
The company emphasized that it carries out the delivery and distribution of thermal energy and hot water supply from the supplier — in this case, "Tashkent Thermal Center" — to residential buildings.
Specialists from Veolia Energy Tashkent's accredited laboratory visited the sites and took water samples at the sources and in residential buildings for chemical-bacteriological and organoleptic analysis. The results of the analysis will be announced upon completion of the studies.
Information regarding water quality was handed over to the management and technical services of the Tashkent CHP to take urgent measures to normalize the technological process at the CHP and flush the networks.
Veolia Energy Tashkent stated that together with the supplier, it is making every effort to restore the standard quality of water supply as quickly as possible and apologized for the inconvenience caused.
