A discussion on the work of the Romanian Embassy in Uzbekistan took place in Bucharest.

From August 31 to September 1, 2026, the annual meeting of Romanian diplomats took place in Bucharest. Daniel Cristian Ciobanu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Republic of Uzbekistan, participated. The event was dedicated to the theme "Diplomacy: Anchor in a Changing World."

This meeting provided an opportunity to assess the priorities of Romanian diplomacy and coordinate the country's foreign policy strategy in a complex international environment characterized by transformations and challenges. Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Tsoiu opened the annual meeting of Romanian diplomacy, bringing together 200 representatives of the diplomatic and consular corps, as well as invited guests, to review the past year and discuss plans for economic development, security, and strengthening ties with the Romanian diaspora.

On September 1, 2026, Romanian President Nicusor Dan and Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan met with members of the Romanian diplomatic and consular corps. The head of state emphasized that Romania's foreign policy is based on three key objectives: strengthening security, supporting Romanian communities abroad, and developing economic diplomacy.

Participants were shown videos highlighting the main achievements of Romanian diplomatic missions abroad in recent years, including the activities of the Romanian Embassy in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Photographs of events held in Tashkent to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Romanian-Uzbek diplomatic relations (October 6, 2025) were also shown.

Furthermore, a photograph was shown of the signing of the Protocol Amending the Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Cooperation in Transit Road Transport (Bucharest, June 6, 1996) on November 27, 2025, in Tashkent. The document was signed by Ilkhom Makhkamov, Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Daniel Cristian Ciobanu, Ambassador of Romania.

A photograph from the exhibition "The 'Heroes' Path' Monumental Ensemble in Târgu Jiu: A Tribute to Constantin Brâncuși on the 150th Anniversary of His Birth" was also presented. This exhibition was organized by the Embassy of Romania from April 21 to 28, 2026, at the Kamoliddin Behzod Museum of Oriental Miniature Art as part of the International Festival of Fine and Applied Arts.
