Tennis sections will be established in selected schools
From January 1, 2027, the Juniors Tennis Initiative program will be introduced in general secondary education organizations. Within its framework, introductory classes that foster interest in tennis will be organized during physical education lessons for students in grades 1–4.
Tennis sections will be established in selected schools
In accordance with the President's decree on the popularization and development of tennis, schools where tennis will be developed will be selected based on the interest of students and the existing sports infrastructure.
Sports sections for tennis will be organized in these schools. Their material and technical base will be improved, and they will be equipped with sports equipment, including tennis walls - wall devices for tennis training, funded by the Uzbekistan Tennis Federation.
The training sessions will be conducted by coaches recruited from the sports school in the area where the school is located.
The decree also introduced changes to the amounts of one-time cash prizes awarded to the winners and prize-winners of the Asian and Para Asian Games, as well as their coaches.
Prizes for athletes have been set as follows:
- for a gold medal - 25,000 USD;
- for a silver medal - 12,500 USD;
- for a bronze medal - 6,250 USD.
Coaches who trained the winning and prize-winning athletes will be awarded prizes in the following amounts:
- for a gold medal - 10,000 USD;
- for a silver medal - 5,000 USD;
- for a bronze medal - 2,500 USD.
The relevant amendments have been made to paragraphs 9 and 10 of Appendix 7 of the President's Decree No. PQ-114 dated April 7, 2023.
