Temperature records were recorded in four regions of Uzbekistan on August 30
Four regions of Uzbekistan set new or broke previous temperature records on August 30. The Hydrometeorological Service Agency reported this.
According to the agency, temperature records were recorded in the following regions:
* **In the city of Samarkand**, the maximum air temperature was 38.0 degrees, repeating the record set in 1937.
* **In the Syrdarya region**, the maximum air temperature reached 38.1 degrees, repeating the record set in 2025.
* **In the city of Navoi**, the maximum air temperature was 40.5 degrees, breaking the record set in 2010 of 38.0 degrees.
* **In the city of Bukhara**, the maximum air temperature was 39.3 degrees, repeating the record set in 1945.
The agency also published a weather forecast for August 31. According to it, no precipitation is expected throughout Uzbekistan today. The wind speed will be 7-12 meters/second, in some places it may increase to 13-18 meters/second, and in some areas it may increase to 20-22 meters/second, accompanied by dust. The air temperature will be 30-35 degrees, in some places in the south it will be 40-42 degrees.
No precipitation is expected in the capital Tashkent either. The wind speed will be 3-8 meters/second, in some places it may increase to 12-14 meters/second, accompanied by dust. The temperature will be around 33-35 degrees.
The weather will be clear in mountainous areas, and short-term rain is possible only in some places in the Tashkent region. The wind will blow at a speed of 7-12 meters/second, in some places it may increase to 13-18 meters/second. The temperature will be around 25-30 degrees.
Earlier it was reported that the weather in Uzbekistan in September 2026 is expected to be relatively dry and slightly warm.
