With the development of artificial intelligence and digital technologies, new professions are emerging, while existing ones require different skills. Therefore, a school graduate should not enter adult life without mastering a language and a profession.
"Isn't letting a child graduate from school without a profession and a language a sign of indifference to their future?" the President said.
It was noted that principals must seriously consider which language and which profession students are learning, and what skills they will possess by the time they graduate.
School leaders will be granted the necessary authority, and conditions will be created for entrepreneurs ready to cooperate. To prepare youth for a profession from the school bench and ensure the continuity of educational stages, a commission will be established; new decisions will be announced within three months.
For the economy to transition to a technological and innovative growth model, children must study mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology in depth as early as in school. To this end, if there are more than 25 students in a class, these subjects will be taught in two groups.
A new incentive system is being introduced for teachers of fundamental sciences. Educators with a national certificate will receive a 50 percent bonus, and 208 leading teachers from districts and cities will receive an annual bonus of 30 million soums. Another 1,000 teachers will undergo internships abroad.
Children of educators with at least 15 years of experience will be granted interest-free loans for university tuition. Exam expenses for teachers who have obtained foreign and national certificates will be fully covered.
Educators who have trained winners of international and regional Olympiads named after Khwarazmi, Fergani, Biruni, Ibn Sina, and Mendeleev will immediately receive the highest category. The President expressed confidence that these initiatives will serve as a worthy incentive for nearly 100,000 teachers.
