President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that projects aimed at improving the living conditions of the population are being implemented in every district of Karakalpakstan.
A modern sanatorium in Bozatov, an oncology and radiology center in Nukus, and a children's hospital and maternity home in Kungrad have been put into operation. Amphitheaters with 2,000 seats each in Amudarya and Turtkul, a gymnastics center in the city of Nukus, and a branch of the Conservatory have been commissioned.
With the Asian Development Bank, a 240-kilometer section of the A-380 highway passing through Kungrad was fully converted to concrete pavement at a cost of 384 million dollars. Yesterday, the construction of another 92 kilometers of the road passing through Turtkul, Ellikqala, and Beruni began. The value of this project is 233 million dollars.
As a result, transit will increase 1.5 times. Cargo entering Turtkul will reach the Kazakh border in 10 hours instead of 24 hours.
Starting next March, a Tashkent – Nukus high-speed train service will be launched, reducing travel time from 16 hours to 7 hours.
The reconstruction of the "Tuyamuyun" water treatment plant and the construction of a 100-kilometer drinking water pipeline from Kungrad to Muynak will begin.
