Tashkent Khokimiyat will check the grounds on which window bars were dismantled in Mirzo-Ulugbek district
Residents of one of the mahallas in Tashkent's Mirzo-Ulugbek district reported on social media about the dismantling of window bars. After the publications appeared, the work was stopped. Now the capital's khokimiyat is finding out who gave the order to remove the bars and whether there were legal grounds for it. The actions of the responsible individuals will be checked for signs of abuse of authority and arbitrariness.
The city administration reported that they are currently establishing the causes of the incident and the circumstances under which the work began. Based on the results of the check, the khokimiyat of Mirzo-Ulugbek district will take the necessary measures.
The city khokimiyat emphasized that it did not initiate the dismantling and is against such actions. The administration stated that the safety of residents, respect for their rights, and the preservation of property remain a priority. They also intend to determine how to prevent similar cases from recurring.
Earlier, residents of Yunusabad fought against the construction of a terrace under their windows as part of the "gastronomic street" project.
