Tanzila Narbayeva and the Azerbaijani Ambassador Discussed Strengthening Ties

Speaker of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan, Rashad Mammadov. During the talks, the current state and future directions of bilateral relations were discussed.

The meeting emphasized that, thanks to the determination of the leaders of both countries, relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan have reached the level of an alliance.

Particular attention was paid to the systematic development of interparliamentary cooperation, as well as strengthening political, trade, economic, investment, interregional, and humanitarian ties between the two countries.

The parties noted the intensification of contacts between parliamentarians and emphasized the importance of further deepening cooperation between the relevant committees and interparliamentary groups of the legislative bodies of both countries.

They also noted the importance of continuing to exchange experiences in lawmaking and parliamentary oversight. In addition, the parties emphasized the importance of mutual support on international parliamentary platforms.
