Syrdarya Region Strengthens Ties with China

As part of the "Do Business in Syrdarya" international investment forum, Syrdarya Region Governor Erkinjon Turdimov held talks with representatives of Chinese companies to discuss prospects for joint investment projects, according to the press service of the Syrdarya Region Governor's Office.

Meetings were held with delegations from Chinese companies Xinjiang Hefу, Baolun, Xigua, and AI Car, as well as with representatives of the Zhejiang Provincial Institute of Architectural and Construction Research.

During the talks, the parties discussed the potential for projects in several areas, including the cultivation of dragon fruit and mangoes, the development of aquaculture, the production of building materials, and the introduction of a modern online taxi service.

Particular attention was paid to the potential for cooperation in urban development, specifically the development of a "New City" concept for the Syr Darya River.

In addition, the parties explored the possibility of creating an industrial park as part of the "Two Countries, Two Gardens" initiative.

Following the meetings, an agreement was reached to further develop the proposed projects in detail and move on to the practical implementation of the agreements reached.
