Some areas may be flooded due to rains

Due to expected rains on September 30 - October 2, mudflow and flood events may occur in the foothill and mountainous areas of Uzbekistan. In the urgent hydrometeorological information, a warning was issued for a number of districts and cities of nine regions.

According to the report, there is a risk of flash floods and flooding in the following areas:

Qashqadaryo region: Yakkabogʻ, Dehqonobod, Chiroqchi, Kitob, Shahrisabz, Qamashi, and Gʻuzor districts.

Surxondaryo region: Sariosiyo, Uzun, Oltinsoy, Denov, Boysun, Sherobod, Shoʻrchi, Qumqoʻrgʻon, and Muzrabot districts.

Samarqand region: Urgut, Samarqand, Bulungʻur, Nurobod, Qoʻshrabot, Kattaqoʻrgʻon, Payariq, Jomboy, and Ishtixon districts.

Navoiy region: Xatirchi, Navbahor, Nurota, Konimex, and Karmana districts.

Jizzax region: Zomin, Baxmal, Gʻallaorol, Sharof Rashidov, Forish, and Yangiobod districts.

Toshkent region: Ohangaron, Boʻstonliq, Parkent, Piskent, Oʻrta Chirchiq, and Yuqori Chirchiq districts, Angren and Olmaliq cities.

Namangan region: Pop, Kosonsoy, Chortoq, Chust, Namangan, and Yangiqoʻrgʻon districts.

Fargʻona region: Soʻx, Fargʻona, and Beshariq districts, and the Shohimardon area.

Andijon region: Andijon, Asaka, Jalaquduq, Qoʻrgʻontepa, Paxtaobod, Izboskan, Xoʻjaobod, and Marhamat districts, Xonabod city.

Citizens living in foothill and mountainous areas, vacationers, and drivers traveling in these areas are asked to take precautionary measures.

It is also noted that there is a possibility of rainwater accumulation and flooding in some areas of the republic.
