Shomurodov Nets Fourth Goal for Basaksehir

Uzbekistan national team captain Eldor Shomurodov scored his fourth goal in four matches for Istanbul-based Basaksehir, but his team suffered a 2-3 home loss to Galatasaray in the fourth round of the Turkish championship.

Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen put the visitors ahead in the 16th minute, before Shomurodov equalized from the penalty spot in the 66th minute. Lucas Torreira put Galatasaray back in front five minutes later, but an own goal by Galatasaray defender Davinson Sanchez in the 76th minute made it level again. Gabriel Sara then scored the decisive goal in the closing stages.

Uzbekistan national team midfielder Abbasbek Fayzullaev was in Basaksehir’s starting lineup and played 74 minutes before being replaced, according to UzDaily.uz.
