Eldor Shomurodov scored from the penalty spot in Basaksehir's match.

In the second round of the Turkish Super League, Basaksehir lost to Trabzonspor 2-1. Uzbekistan national team captain Eldor Shomurodov, who played the entire match for the Istanbul club, converted the penalty, according to a source.

Trabzonspor opened the scoring in the eighth minute thanks to a precise strike by Muhammad Salah. Eleven minutes later, Basaksehir were awarded a penalty, which Shomurodov converted successfully, thereby restoring parity.

At the start of the second half, Salah scored again, completing his second goal. This goal proved decisive: despite intense play until the final whistle, the score remained unchanged.

Both of Basaksehir's Uzbek players, Shomurodov and Abbosbek Fayzullaev, started the match. Fayzullaev was substituted in the 58th minute, making way for Davia Zelka. Shomurodov played the full 90 minutes.

With this victory, Trabzonspor picked up four points and moved up to third in the Süper Lig standings. Basaksehir retained their three points and sits in tenth place.
