In his speech, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the significant social transformations that have taken place in recent years.
The head of state reported that over 650,000 families have been provided with modern housing. Thanks to the implementation of a targeted outreach system, the poverty rate in the country has decreased from 35% in 2017 to 4%.
It is emphasized that approximately 10 million people have benefited from improved housing conditions.
The president paid special attention to education. Despite an 8 million population increase over the past decade, preschool enrollment has reached 78%, and 1.5 million additional student places have been created in schools.
The number of students in higher education institutions has increased to 1.6 million. More than half of them are women.
"More than half of the students are women—this is a special face of the Third Renaissance." "Educated girls mean an educated family, an educated generation, and an enlightened society," said Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev.
