Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed the expansion of financial cooperation with Shinhan Financial Group
On September 15 in Seoul, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the Chairman of Shinhan Financial Group, Jin Ok-dong.
During the talks, the parties reviewed issues of expanding financial cooperation and implementing investment projects in the fields of infrastructure, renewable energy, and industry.
The signing of an agreement on the allocation of credit lines for commercial banks of Uzbekistan was noted. Special attention was paid to the prospect of establishing a subsidiary bank of Shinhan Bank in the country.
In addition, the possibilities of attracting new financial instruments, developing "green" lending, and digital banking were discussed. Particular emphasis was placed on the introduction of special financial solutions for small and medium-sized businesses.
The parties expressed interest in further expanding Shinhan's presence in the financial sector of Uzbekistan.
