During his visit to Bishkek, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the opening ceremony of the VI World Nomad Games.

The event, which took place at the Bishkek Arena stadium, was also attended by the heads of state of the SCO and other honored guests.

More than 3,000 athletes from more than 90 countries, including 141 representatives from Uzbekistan, are participating in the competitions. Our compatriots will compete in 30 sports, in particular, kurash, sambo, arm wrestling, archery and equestrian sports.

The participants were shown a theatrical performance dedicated to the rich culture and history, traditions and customs of nomadic peoples.
