Experts from the Academy of Sciences have presented recommendations for reducing losses in power grids.
Scientists and researchers from the Institute of Energy Problems of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan conducted research at the 110/10 kV “Chilonzor” substation of the Jizzakh branch of the main power grid.
According to the press service of the Academy, during these studies, the amount of losses in the power grid, the load mode of the transformer, the state of the reactive power balance, and the degree of wear of the insulation resource were thoroughly analyzed.
"As a result of the conducted research, a number of scientifically based recommendations were developed, including the installation of reactive power compensation devices to bring the power factor indicator closer to the standard level, the introduction of remote control and real-time monitoring capabilities through the SCADA system, digital modeling of the consumption profile to optimize the load schedule, and a number of other recommendations.
The implementation of these scientific solutions will significantly reduce technical losses, increase the reliability of electricity supply, and effectively implement state policy aimed at strengthening the country's energy security," the report says.
