A fight among schoolgirls at School No. 11 in Andijan province’s Altynkul district has led to action against a teacher and the pupils’ parents, Zor TV reported on its “Bu Kun” program.
The incident occurred on October 13 during a break between classes. A disagreement between three girls in grade 6-V escalated into a physical altercation.
Umida Mamajonova, the deputy school director, said the dispute started as an argument between the students. She added that the girls later regretted what happened, apologized to their teachers, and reconciled.
“It was just an argument between three of our girls in 6-V. But they said, ‘Sorry, teacher, it won’t happen again, we didn’t realize,’ and they all made up,” she said.
Following the incident, the class teacher was removed from the position. The pupils’ parents were called to the school and held administratively liable under Article 47 of the Administrative Liability Code, which addresses failure to fulfill duties to raise and educate children, as well as committing violence against them in the process.
